Coconut Mango Smoothie
A tropical smoothie with extra virgin coconut oil blended in for its medium-chain fatty acids — creamy, naturally sweet, energising. South Indian summer in a glass.
Ingredients
| Ripe Alphonso mango, cubed | 1 large |
| Banana | 1 |
| Coconut milk or regular milk | 1 cup |
| Sree Kumaran Extra Virgin Coconut Oil | 1 tsp |
| Cardamom, honey (optional) | ¼ tsp, 1 tsp |
Method
- Blend mango, banana, milk, coconut oil, cardamom and honey until completely smooth. Serve immediately over ice. The coconut oil emulsifies into the smoothie and adds a light creaminess without a strong flavour.
Extra virgin coconut oil has no detectable coconut flavour at a teaspoon — it adds healthy MCTs and a velvety texture. Always add it to room-temperature ingredients first, then blend; adding it to cold liquid can cause it to solidify.
