Godhumai Ladoo
Wholesome wheat ladoos made from roasted wheat flakes, jaggery and ghee — an ancient Indian energy ball that needs no cooking, just good ingredients rolled together with care.
Ingredients
| Sree Kumaran Roasted Wheat Flakes, ground to coarse powder | 1 cup |
| Jaggery powder | ½ cup |
| Ghee, warm | 3–4 tbsp |
| Cardamom powder, cashews (optional) | ½ tsp, 10 |
Method
- Grind roasted wheat flakes to a coarse powder in a mixie. Do not make too fine.
- Mix with jaggery powder, cardamom and crushed cashews.
- Add warm ghee spoon by spoon, mixing after each addition, until the mixture holds together when pressed.
- Roll into balls while warm. Store in airtight container for up to 5 days.
The pre-roasting of the flakes means no additional cooking is needed — the raw flavour is already cooked out. These ladoos are an excellent post-workout snack and travel well without refrigeration.
