Godhumai Ladoo

Wholesome wheat ladoos made from roasted wheat flakes, jaggery and ghee — an ancient Indian energy ball that needs no cooking, just good ingredients rolled together with care.

Ingredients

Sree Kumaran Roasted Wheat Flakes, ground to coarse powder 1 cup
Jaggery powder ½ cup
Ghee, warm 3–4 tbsp
Cardamom powder, cashews (optional) ½ tsp, 10

Method

  1. Grind roasted wheat flakes to a coarse powder in a mixie. Do not make too fine.
  2. Mix with jaggery powder, cardamom and crushed cashews.
  3. Add warm ghee spoon by spoon, mixing after each addition, until the mixture holds together when pressed.
  4. Roll into balls while warm. Store in airtight container for up to 5 days.

The pre-roasting of the flakes means no additional cooking is needed — the raw flavour is already cooked out. These ladoos are an excellent post-workout snack and travel well without refrigeration.
